Systems Administrator responsible for administration, maintenance and support of Apache Web Servers AND Weblogic in a large, high volume, e-commerce Linux environment. Must have solid experience in installation, configuration, administration, and troubleshooting of Apache Web Server and Weblogic Server on Linux (preferably Red Hat). Strong working  knowledge of internet technologies, J2EE architecture principles, and general networking  technologies. Additional preferred skills include knowledge of Sun Solaris/UNIX, knowledge of Project Management principles and Microsoft Project software. Linux/Unix shell scripting experience is helpful.

Additional responsibilities include, web server software functional and performance testing,  performance tuning, installation of BEA WebLogic Server, research and development of new internet technologies, and liaison coordination with other IS support teams. Must be able to assess technical internet related issues and recommend solutions. The position requires a customer-focused, self-motivated individual who can handle multiple enterprise scale projects and can self-manage project tasks and deliverables. Projects will be managed by plan with definite deliverable dates. Must be capable of troubleshooting technical internet, web server, J2EE application issues along with deploying  web and J2EE application server software, and communicating and documenting technical issues with minimal guidance.
